Sears, Roebuck and Company Mail Order Store, Distribution Center, and Warehouse is completed.

Architect: George Nimmons. Designed in the Art Deco style, the tan brick building with limestone trim is located at 401 Park Drive. An addition by Carr & Wright is built in 1949, and one by Ballinger & Company is built in 1966. The facility closes in 1986 and the building is converted an office and retail center in 2000.*
